The Olive Tree Restaurant in bath believes there are two good reasons for keeping their produce local.

“First, freighting food in from the globe’s furthest reaches means food miles, planes in the air, trucks on the roads, questionable freshness, local producers bypassed: wrong, wrong and wrong again.
“Secondly, this is the West Country, for heaven’s sake, bounty doesn’t get much more bountiful. Meat, fish, cheese, fruit or vegetables: the good stuff’s on our doorstep (or just round the corner), as is the expertise, and sheer love of great food.”
These beliefs shine through in head chef Chris Cleghorn’s menus, which are bursting with top-notch ingredients from local suppliers.
The restaurant closes from 4th May for major refurbishments, unveiling their new look to the public on May 18th. Chris will be serving his Spring Tasting Menu, giving diners the opportunity to sample the full repertoire of local, seasonal dishes. However, if you can’t wait, the delicious 7 course menu is being served now.
